The event – “Speak Olympiad 2010”

Speak Olympiad is the flagship event of the Gavel Club of University of Moratuwa. This annual contest which is focused on finding the best public speaker within the university draws participants from all the faculties of the university. Since its inception in 2005, this event has gone from strength to strength and now has become one of the most eagerly anticipated events in the university calendar.
This year's contest will take place as follows

• Preliminaries - October 7th
• Semi Finals - October 13th
• Grand Finale - October 19th

All undergraduates of the University of Moratuwa are eligible to contest for the Preliminaries.
